HOCKEY EQUIPMENT

If you want to start playing competitive hockey, you got to get your own equipment to endure all of those hits and damages. But when you look at the prizes, think about it. The minimum price of all of the equipment including the helmet, protection, the hockey stick, puck, the gloves and the skates and also clothes that are held under the protective garment, almost cost somewhere around 700 to 800 euros. That’s a lot if you ask me.

Hockey pucks, ah yes. I remember getting hit by one of those devils when I played hockey, and that was probably the reason why I decided to quit. How are these made though? Hockey pucks are made of vulcanized rubber, chemically made, and thus more durable when it is being used to, you know, being hit. The minimum price of one pluck is something about ten euros. One inch thick, 3 inches in diameter and weighs about 5.5 and 6 ounces.

An average size of a hockey stick is 150-200 cm and the blade is typically 10-15 inches long. Pretty long stick!
